PAYMENT BY CHEQUE
Cheques CANNOT be accepted for any U-Haul transactions EXCEPT Social Assistance cheques approved in advance of rental.
RENTAL DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
All local truck rentals require a minimum $300 CASH DEPOSIT or credit card authorization for estimated charges. One-Way rentals require payment of charges (plus deposit without a valid credit card) at time of rental.
INSURANCE
Optional vehicle damage waiver and contents insurance is available for U-Haul trucks (SAFEMOVE). Damage protection for trailer and car carriers (SAFETOW) is only valid for the ONE VEHICLE listed on the contract.
WINTER DRIVING
U-Haul does not provide chains for winter driving. Most trucks come with M+S rated tires. Some mountain passes require winter tires or chains, and it is the customer's responsibility to provide chains if necessary.
One-Way rate quotations are NOT GUARANTEED until a cash deposit or VALID credit card is used to confirm a reservation.
One-way reservations are NOT GUARANTEED to be at this LOCATION. U-Haul Traffic Office will contact you the day before with pick-up time and location. The Traffic Office number for
U-Haul reserves the right to SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT of equal or greater size at no additional charge.
RESERVATIONS CANCELLED
within 24 hours of pick-up time may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
RENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid B.C. driver’s license, current address, and a valid credit card OR valid driver’s license, TWO other pieces of ID, one with a current address, and some form of Meaningful Assurance.
